My friend Krista said, “Heather you should do a post”. But you see I do posts all the time in my head, and then the thought flees…Happy New 2013. It’s January 2nd and I’ve been doing home work all morning. Mum has been cooking and cleaning and we’ve all been enjoying her time here. We visited Alan’s son Andrew and the lovely Caroline in the beautiful town of Aberfeldy. What a treat. Thanks guys!

Clement and I sled down the Windmill slide in town the other day at George’s square. It’s all decorated with lights and rides and ice skating.

I listened to a Shawlands bagpiper blow in the new year at midnight. Had a long walk through Pollok park and sat down for some tea and biscuits on a bench. Weather is not cold, but the special Scottish dampness seeps into the bones at times. Yannick has some time off over the holidays which is a first in years. I’m enjoying this break and would like to organize myself for the next term. My papers and things are all over the house and they have legs of their own. Discovered the film, The Snowman by Raymond Briggs.Magic!

Have a great year ahead y’all xoh
